Delete your account
You can request deletion of your ParentLedger account. The fastest path is from inside the app: Settings → Privacy & security → Delete account (or Profile → Delete account when signed in).
Email request
If you can’t access the app, email us instead:
- Email: support@parentledger.org
- Include the phone number you used to sign up.
- We process deletion requests within 7 days.
What account deletion removes
When deletion completes on our servers, we remove your sign-in (authentication) and the profile / account data stored under your user record, including push-notification tokens tied to that account. We also detach your membership from linked cases.
- Your authentication credential and user profile tree.
- Pending invites you created (where our systems still hold them).
- Membership links that attach you to a case.
What may remain after you leave a shared case
ParentLedger cases are often shared with a co-parent and/or counsel. Deleting your account does not automatically erase the entire shared case file. Content that remains for other authorized participants may include messages, schedules, expenses, exchanges, child records, check-ins, documents, and related files that are part of the shared case. Uploaded files in cloud storage for shared cases may also remain until a separate shared-record purge policy applies.
If you are the last remaining member on a case, we mark that case archived; a full purge of residual shared records and storage objects is a separate process and is not promised by this page.
Data retention
Some data may be retained for legal, security, billing, or compliance purposes (for example, anonymized operational logs and records required by app stores or payment processors). Shared content needed by other participants stays available to them under the product’s shared-case model. Counsel may require additional holds — contact support if you need a specific data-rights request beyond account deletion.
