Terms of Service

Document version: 2026-08-31 · Effective: 2026-08-31

Important: ParentLedger is a software tool. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, mediation, therapy, or professional custody recommendations. If you need legal advice, consult a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction.

These Terms form an agreement between you and Kenneth William Momsen III, trading as ParentLedger (“ParentLedger,” “we”). By creating an account or continuing to use ParentLedger, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be an adult legally able to enter a binding contract where you live. Our provisional self-declaration age gate uses 16 pending counsel confirmation for markets we enable; the product is still intended for adult co-parents and counsel.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for safeguarding your device and sign-in credentials.
  • Geographic availability of features (including attorney marketing and certain AI/analytics) may be limited by product jurisdiction gates until we enable specific countries.
  • You may delete your account from in-app controls where available; some records may remain where required for shared matters or applicable law.

2. The service

ParentLedger provides tools that may include, depending on your plan and configuration: co-parent messaging and logs, calendars and scheduling aids, expense tracking, document storage, exchange check-ins, exports, notifications, optional AI assistance, subscriptions, payment reimbursement tooling, and an attorney workspace. Features may change, be suspended, or discontinued where permitted by law and platform rules.

No guarantee of outcome: Use of ParentLedger does not guarantee any result in court, mediation, or any dispute.

3. User content & license

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant ParentLedger and its service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, and back up your content solely to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service and as described in our Privacy Policy (including AI features you choose to use).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content (including any information about children or third parties you enter) and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) harass, threaten, abuse, defraud, or stalk others; (b) upload malware or attempt unauthorized access; (c) scrape or overload the service in a way that impairs it; (d) use the service for unlawful discrimination or violence; (e) circumvent technical limits or billing; (f) use the service to market legal services unlawfully. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations or risk to others or the service.

5. Subscriptions & store billing

Paid features may be offered via Apple App Store, Google Play, or other in-app purchase mechanisms. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the applicable store’s terms and policies and the disclosures shown at purchase. ParentLedger does not control store billing systems. EEA users can find store cancel links in-app under Privacy & security → EU subscription disclosure.

6. Payment reimbursements (Stripe Connect)

If you use Connect-based reimbursement features, additional payment notices apply. ParentLedger does not hold payout funds; Stripe processes onboarding and payouts. Connect onboarding remains blocked until payment notice versions are finalized (not draft placeholders).

7. AI features

Optional AI features are described in the AI processing notice. AI output can be wrong; you remain responsible for decisions you make. Do not rely on AI as legal advice.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParentLedger and its operators disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer warranties that cannot be waived.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParentLedger and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to ParentLedger for the service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, these limits apply only to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ParentLedger and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of this Agreement.

11. Governing law & disputes

Unless your platform or mandatory local law requires otherwise, this Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence still apply where they cannot be waived. For disputes, courts or arbitration may apply as required by law or platform rules.

12. Changes

We may update this Agreement by posting a new version in the app or on this page. Material changes may require renewed acceptance where required by law. The document version at the top is authoritative.
