Payment & Stripe Connect notice
This notice supplements the Privacy Policy and Terms for optional reimbursement features that use Stripe Connect.
1. Who handles money movement
ParentLedger (Kenneth William Momsen III, trading as ParentLedger) provides software that can connect parents’ payment accounts for reimbursements. Stripe performs identity/KYC checks, stores payment credentials, and moves funds. ParentLedger does not hold payout balances.
2. What ParentLedger stores
- Connect account linkage / onboarding status;
- limited display metadata (for example institution name and last4) returned by Stripe;
- records of reimbursement requests and related matter identifiers;
- acceptance timestamps for payment terms/privacy version IDs when you accept them.
Full bank credentials and KYC documents are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s terms and privacy notice.
3. Fees
Platform application fees in code are currently set to 0 pending final commercial/legal confirmation. Stripe’s own fees still apply under Stripe’s pricing.
4. Chargebacks and disputes
Payment disputes and chargebacks are handled through Stripe’s processes and any applicable bank/network rules. ParentLedger may assist with matter context but is not your bank.
5. EU/EEA consumer notes
Store subscriptions (Apple/Google) remain governed by store cancel/refund rules — see in-app EU subscription disclosure. Connect reimbursements are not the same as App Store subscriptions. Withdrawal/refund wording for any direct consumer payments will be finalized with counsel before we unlock EU Connect growth.
6. Current engineering gate
Until payment terms and privacy version strings are replaced with counsel-approved IDs (not containing “draft” or “placeholder”), the product blocks Connect onboarding. That is intentional.
